Johanna – Damn, that DOES sound like the flames of hell— I can’t imagine why else you’d get little tears. Is it possible to turn it down, or use another heat setting?

Mum – Mmm, I love your descriptions. You know the wearing patterns of your whole household! I hadn’t thought about crumpled sleeves, I get those too— and we’ve all seen jeans with a faded, tobacco-tin-sized ring on the back pocket.

Mary – My mother sits that way, too! As to your bras, should you be buying a smaller-size band? I’ve read that it’s bra bands that do the real ‘heavy lifting,’ not the straps.

Tori – Greetings, fellow underpronator! Come to think of it, I never get holey knees any more… but like you, the front-thighs of my pants wear thin sometimes. It’s a shame pants wear out, since shopping for them is so tedious.

Rapunzel – I’m not convinced underwear’s any WORSE for us than other clothes, but it’s a lot easier to skip underwear in polite society than skip pants or a shirt. Unless you’re wearing a short skirt, no one should be the wiser!

chelsea – Greetings, ma’am! I believe the Dr. Bronner’s stuff has beeswax and isn’t vegan— but I’m glad you’ve found something that works for you. I have the Dr. Bronner’s lemon-lime shaving gel stuff; it’s weird, but it works, and that scent has really grown on me.

jesse.anne.o – Wow, Ecosensual IS a terrible name. Thanks for the tip-off on the Pacifica lip tint, I’d been eyeballing it. I don’t remember ever seeing Soothing Touch products before, looks like they mostly sell massage oils and bath salts.

Mr. Jaunty – If I’d known you liked it so much, I could have given you your own tube! I bought back-ups.

Rapunzel – Glad the Hurraw worked out for you! I’m sure it’s honored to live in your barn coat.

As to lotion, Bloomingfoods must have all kinds of vegan-friendly lotions. I have three different kinds parked in my bathroom right now, none of which are as light as skin trip. Will give this further consideration.

The lovely oval tube of Hurraw vanilla that you sent me in a care package is my hands down favorite lippy ever, it lives permanently in the pocket of my barn coat to assure that I won’t go to town without it.
How about hand lotion? Is there anything vegan as good as Skin Trip?

Also, I can’t comment on Terri’s comment for some reason but YES, totally romance for guys. In college I went out with a dude who vaguely resembled Daniel Day-Lewis and he actually had the movie poster above his dorm room bed and would play the soundtrack for our romantic evenings in. He was straight but I’m certain he would have preferred Daniel Day-Lewis’s company to mine. It did not last.

Randomly, this showed up on Netflix suggestions (why, I have no idea) and the fellow and I decided to watch this last night. Verdict: Yep, totally lost on us. What was that “I am the last of the Mohicans” speech ABOUT?? Who was French? Why did DDL have that weirdo accent? Did he come up with it during the months he lived in the wilderness to prepare for the role? Came away from it thinking DDL must be sort of a jerk, for inarticulatable reasons.

Wearing at the crotch and thighs is definitely the first place for me, and anything that can pill there will. The stains and tears usw. show that I’m clumsy and not particularly careful with myself–and also that I really like curry.

Oh, also recently I tried Pacifica’s Lip Tint and it was pretty awful – way too chemically smelly and way too opaque. It’s an $8 tube so I thought I’d pass on the news.

I had no idea Soothing Touch has vegan versions. That’s interesting because they’re the big drugstore version, right?
