Ladies and gents, I will be tackling a new self-improvement oriented project every month. At the end of the month, I will update you on my efforts, how the experiment affected other areas of my life, and whether or not I think the effort is worth maintaining.
November’s experiment will be… daily Morning Pages, as brought to us by Julia Cameron!
I’ve written Morning Pages in the past and always found them surprisingly helpful (clear your mind! Get the negativity out of your system!) but also surprisingly tedious to write (how can thirty minutes last so long?). So, I’m already dreading November’s challenge a bit. Why is it so hard to face my own thoughts? Guess that’s something else to process during my Pages.
Best case scenario: writing Morning Pages for a month will help me find clarity and focus. It will also help me get up and stay up in the mornings, which has been a problem.
Worst case scenario: the Morning Pages prove to be a waste of paper.
That’s a risk I can handle.
Have you ever written Morning Pages? Are you willing to try it for a month?
