Just today, I learned that the song “Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead” has its own wikipedia page.
Now, I won’t pretend to be interested in that page’s detailed descriptions or scene-setting. But I was COMPLETELY AND THOROUGHLY floored to learn that this perfectly 60′s cover by The Fifth Estate—
— swiped its punchy li’l solo section from Michael Praetorius! BEHOLD!
I’ve loved that cover for ages, and never suspected its sneaky awesomeness. Note that both pieces of music (Wizard of Oz via one-hit-wonders, speedy Praetorius via YouTube) are wholly my style. I embrace ALL genres of dorkiness.
Man, there’s always more to learn! Isn’t that fabulous?

I sent this post to my dad – he’ll love it.
P.S. I love it, too!

There is indeed always something new to learn.
