Pink and yellow and green, oh my!

Once long ago, I ate a lot of rainbow sherbet and then threw up all over the place. Thanks for reminding me, Physician’s Formula:

Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder

That brush alone gives me unsought flashbacks to the 80′s.

  • Yikes! My Little Pony wants her brush back.

I don’t know much about makeup, so these swirly powders have always confused me…can anyone explain?

    My Little Pony, indeed!

The IDEA is that the “corrective” colors all swirl together to create one perfect shade for your face… but really, couldn’t they have just made the makeup that perfect shade to begin with? I call shenanigans.

Likewise, Almay sells “Smart Shade” makeup that supposedly changes color to suit your skintone. They’re just selling sheer liquid makeup that LOOKS pale until you start smearing it on your face, which breaks open little pockets of color and so the makeup ‘changes color.’ Did that make sense?
