As a child, I watched a lot of cartoons. Sometimes Fluppy Dogs or Kissyfur, and sometimes cartoons older than my parents. Here are a few frivolous family favorites. Siblings, you can thank me later:
That schoolhouse is one hoppin’ party.
Everyone’s favorite Japanese house mouse. Banzai! Banzai!
More food puns than you can possibly stand. About that radio chef— is THAT how gay men were portrayed in 1950?
I loathe pranks and love layer cakes. This short may explain both.
As if Meet Me In St. Louis didn’t make World Fairs look magical enough— who wouldn’t want a swingin’ robotic dance partner? And who knew 1938 was so hip?

I miss Ren and Stimpy. And the PowerPuff girls. Ah, the 90s…

When I was little I loved Rainbow Brite, My little Ponies, and Ghostbusters. Now I find myself really enjoy watching Dinosaur Train with my daughter and catching up with the last Airbender on Netflix.

Cynthia – PowerPuff girls! I remember when their merch was eeeeeeeverywhere. My little sister kept a sticker of The Professor inside her scriptures. Because.
Samantha – Rainbow Brite had a great look. Did you watch CareBears?
Hannah – Awww, you recognized it! I didn’t realize it was about the World’s Fair; I just remembered the beauty shop scene and dug around YouTube until I figured it out. Ha!

Oh my god!! I have been trying to find out what cartoon I’ve remembered that had dogs and flying beds and doors to alternate worlds… I thought maybe I made it up. Thank you for the fluppy dogs link… you have given me serious closure for my childhood.
