Love it! I once went so long without shaving that the razor couldn’t even cut all the hair off in one go. And then I think I gave up halfway through and just wore leggings for another two months.
I went to grad school with a girl who never shaved her legs and always wore dresses and skirts. And the first time you noticed you went, “Oh, she didn’t shave her legs.” And then after that, who the heck cares?

Yay! My favorite: “If they don’t like your hairy legs, they’re not really your friends.” As far as guys go, I used to think, “They shouldn’t be looking that closely at my legs anyway!”
Though, now I have a boyfriend and we’re not yet at the point of my asking him if he minds my hair-raising habit… so as weather warms, I shave. :(

One addition might be “Are you a swimmer, runner or cyclist?”

Katie – “And the first time you noticed you went, ‘Oh, she didn’t shave her legs.’ And then after that, who the heck cares?”
I would care; I had three or four consistently hairy friends in college, and I always wanted to stare. One even went au naturel on her wedding day! That takes serious guts, and their gutsy, furry example inspired my current hair-growing project.
Phoebe – Ooooooooh, a boyfriend? You have my undivided attention. Your standards are high— I really, really doubt your guy will be fazed by a little leg hair.
Mr. Jaunty – A valid point. Though I hate to think my leg hair’s lush enough to create any serious drag…

This brings me great joy too. I have not shaved my legs in almost three months! But then I did grow up on the European continent and people are not as obsessed with hair removal as they are in the UK and North America. Though I will bow to social pressure and epilate come summer.

This is hilarious! This has been the first winter of my life that I decided to keep my legs hairless. I’ve had summers when I didn’t shave either. It was so hard but I learned a lot and felt proud of myself!

No, I seriously doubt he would mind. Maybe it’s more social expectation for when I’m wearing shorter skirts…
Yes, and sometime I should skype with you and you can ask me any number of questions about said boyfriend!

Franca – Three months? Whoa, you beat me by a long way!
Smiley Woman – It DOES feel like an accomplishment, doesn’t it? A small, personal triumph.
Phoebe – Social expectations are not to be underestimated.
Ooooooh. So many questions…
