My Christmas Plans

This year, I’m spending Christmas with someone very special to me.

Someone rugged, but gentle. Clever, yet kind.

Someone who knows all my faults and loves me anyway.

Someone who makes a damn good cross-dresser.

That’s right, folks, I’m alone! Mr. Jaunty and I opened presents with part of his family last night. This morning, everyone else drove south for further family gatherings while I stayed behind to work. Hello, working class reality.

If you need me, I’ll be in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE:

No wait, I meant this one:

Not as large or iridescent as Clark’s place, but it has a tub.

While others attend church or feast with their loved ones, this godless heathen will be soaking herself to wrinkled, pruny perfection while reading a stack of delicious books. Tomorrow, I’ll connect with my family via Skype or telephone. Tonight, it’s just me and my pet rats.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

  • Have a marvelous day to yourself! Rest, pamper yourself, and know that you’re cared for!

  • I agree with Angela, pamper yourself… Will you put some Santa hats to your rats? If so I’ll be waiting for the picture. I stayed at the Netherlands but mom visited which is really nice.

  • Happy Christmas, m’dear! I’m actually rather envious; I haven’t had a day to myself in a very long time. So enjoy your company, snuggle with the rats (the ones at work like to sit on my shoulder while I’m typing) and have a lovely, lovely day.

Sounds like a good holiday to me.
I personally would add eggnog to the to-do list.

  • Angela – Thank you, fair maiden!

Ana – You send me the hats, I’ll take the photos. I’m glad your mom could visit you, Christmas and family go together like… orange and chocolate. They don’t HAVE to be together, but they make a great pairing.

Katie – I hope you get a day to yourself soon! My Christmas was fiercely boring and lonely… I’ll plan something more social next year if you’ll plan something more introspective?

mum – THAT’s what I needed! I never see eggnog without thinking of you.
