Ming - I was jealous, too--- I didn't have a raft! Why didn't I plan ahead? Learn to swim better, practice paddling... I showed up in my swimsuit on the off chance I could stow away with someone, but no.

Haha! I had a retro swimsuit once, and the cups did indeed get dented if I bumped into anything. Not a good look! Maybe you're reallt supposed to put bullets in there to keep them pointy?

The river adventure looks super fun! I'm jealous.

Stitchywitchy - I remember you warning me years ago about swimsuits with absorbent cups. Lesson learned! Mine DO dent, though, and would make pretty cool volcanoes. Ian likes the suit, he's not as fussy as me. =)

Ahhh.... this adorable outfit brings back memories of my mom's bullet bra swimsuit back in the early '60's. It was turquoise, which was great with her red hair and freckles. Made of a thick nubbly fabric. The cups were lined with some thick sort of spongy rubberish fabric, no doubt to eliminate nipple show through.
When you hugged her, the cups would smash and dent.
The spongy rubbery cup lining absorbed water, so when she came out of the pool the bosom area was the last part to get dry....
And when she wasn't wearing the suit you could push those cups down and the top third would invert, leaving you with two very cool looking turquoise volcanoes.
