It's a bird! It's a plane!

No, it’s two out of three primary colors! Superman was ahead of his time.

The washers/dryers in my apartment complex are all dead, and I’ve been rapidly running out of  clean “professional” clothes.  Having been in college for roughly two hundred years, I never amassed much of a work wardrobe.

This outfit was cobbled together by necessity: the sky blue tank fits badly, so I keep it partially covered. The black Malco Modes square-dancing skirt (!)  has a  hideous elastic waistband. Hence the wide belt.

Stay tuned  as Mr. Jaunty and Yours Truly gradually master the art of DIY fashion photography.

  • For inquiring minds…

Jersey cardigan: Kmart (clearance, of course)

    Tank: Target (ditto)

    Belt: Steve Madden— vegan

Stockings: beats me, they’re plain ol’ black pantyhose.

    Shoes: Dollhouse, also vegan

No point in citing jewelry, you can barely see it.

  • I think it looks quite good! I think you could add a bit of chunky jewelry, but I like it!

I agree! Would you believe I was wearing five earrings? I’ll try something more substantial next time.

    Tres Adorable!
By the way, Mr. Jaunty is very brave to engage in fashion photography, I hear models are dreadful to work with.
Then again with such a pretty pretty girl in front of him it’s surprising he can hold the camera straight.
    Well Done Jaunties!

Rebekah: Thank you! It’s not easy to photograph a girl who hates being photographed. I may have been slightly dreadful.

Snazzy! I can almost imagine seeing a yellow “R” on the back of the cardigan as you swoop up to save someone.

Ohhhhh, I didn’t take a picture of the yellow ‘R’! How silly of me.

I think it looks just fine.

But who needs “fine” when they could have “outrageously foxy”?

Actually, “foxy” wasn’t the goal; I was conducting a choir, so I wore bright colors mid-body and nothing distracting from the waist down.

If a certain choir conductor was observing you, this outfit would receive a lot of commentary. I’m sure you pass with flying primary colors.

A certain choir conductor was nowhere to be seen, which might be for the best. =)
